Project Briarwood is an academic summer enrichment and remediation program for students entering Kindergarten through sixth grade for the 2025-2026 school year. For students interested in engaging in project based learning, Project Briarwood combines explicit instruction related to weekly language and math themed projects. At the end of each week, the students will be immersed in the theme of the week by participating in a group project or presentation.
This summer camps’ themes will be:
Week 1: Outer Space
Week 2: Pacific Adventure
Week 3: The Arctic Tundra
Week 4: Briarwood Fantasy
Project Briarwood is taught by a specialized staff of educators, using evidence-based academic strategies with reported outcomes, that can transfer to multiple settings. The program is designed to provide strategies to develop and build upon skills in the core areas of academics, as well as help with organization and study habits.
Briarwood is excited to offer a Summer “Boost” program for phonics and decoding for students entering first through sixth grade for the 2025-2026 school year for students with a language-based disorder or at-risk for reading and writing deficits. This four week long program will allow students to boost their confidence in reading and writing skills and will be taught by a specialized staff of educators, using evidence-based academic strategies with reported outcomes, that can transfer to multiple settings. Briarwood Plus is designed to provide strategies to develop and build upon skills in the core area of phonemic awareness, decoding, and encoding.
